The stock market is way down. The Dow Jones continues to crumble and Congress thinks that the only way to correct what went wrong is for the government to own it. (They are great stewards of OUR money, right? <insert sarcasm>) But I ran across this verse referring to the Levites who were the priests of the Israelite people.
Ezekiel 44:28
”I am to be the only inheritance the priests have. You are to give them no possession in Israel; I will be their possession.”
God designed for the priests of the Israelite people to not own land or livestock but simply trust God for their possessions. Wouldn’t it be nice to NOT have to worry about possessions and simply trust God to take care of all of our needs? GOOD NEWS!! You can! The Bible says believers are a “royal priesthood” and “to cast all our burdens on Him (Jesus) for He cares for you.”
So in this time of global financial crisis, please remember that God is our possession and that is ALL we need.
