My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer a few months ago and since it was caught early and the cancer mass was small, he decided to try an all natural diet to see if his body would fight the cancer. The family has all waited patiently for the results from his PSA tests and the results were not favorable. Please pray for my dad as he decides what his next step should be.
I still think I am numb from finding out that dad has cancer and I don’t think that I have accepted it yet. As you can imagine, this is a very hard time for the family so please be in prayer for us.
Have you had to deal with cancer before? How did you accept it?

Hey Daniel! I found out my dad had pancreatic cancer in June 2007 while I was pregnant with Hayden. As you may know, pancreatic cancer is one of the deadliest cancers out there with minimal treatment options. My dad’s outlook was very grim and being pregnant with Hayden, my doctor would not allow me to travel to MS to be with him. My dad fought for about 5 months and lost the fight in October 2007…about 4 weeks after Hayden was born. The Lord blessed with me with one week with my father before his passing. It was not easy accepting the fact that he had cancer….it is just one of those things you have to hand over to the Lord and let him carry you through this tough time. When my dad told me, I was like ok–what are your options…chemo, radiation, surgery…arm yourself with faith in the Lord (which I know you already have) and education about treatment options and outcomes. I know it is hard and you and your dad are definitely in my thoughts and prayers!!!
